BIM Estimating Services

Quantity takeoffs are prepared directly from your Building Information Model, so quantities update as the design changes instead of starting over.

Takeoffs Built From Your Model, Not Just Your Drawings

When a Building Information Model is available, we take quantities directly from it instead of measuring flat drawings by hand. That means fewer missed items up front, and if the design changes, we can re-check quantities against the updated model instead of starting the takeoff over.

How We Prepare Your Estimate

Model & LOD Review

We review your BIM file and confirm the level of detail available before starting quantities.

Model-Based Quantity Extraction

Quantities are extracted directly from the model geometry, material by material.

Verified Takeoff Report

Extracted quantities are checked against the drawings and delivered in a clear, usable report.

Key Challenges Contractors Face

  • Model data that doesn’t translate cleanly into a usable takeoff.
  • Design changes that make manually updated takeoffs unreliable.
  • Wanting to use BIM but not having the tools or time in-house.

Why Contractors Trust Our Estimating Expertise

Contractors trust our BIM takeoffs because quantities come straight from the model, not a manual recount, so revisions are faster and less error-prone.

Built For Real Construction Workflows

Delivered in the same report format as our standard takeoffs, so your team reviews it the same way whether it started as a 2D or 3D file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions contractors most often ask before requesting an estimate.

What types of projects do you estimate?

We prepare estimates for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, from single-trade takeoffs to full multi-trade scopes.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload PDF, DWG, and DXF plan sets, or Revit files. If your files are in another format, send them over, and we’ll confirm we can work with them.

How long does the estimating process take?

Most single-trade estimates are delivered within 24 to 48 hours. Larger, multi-trade projects typically take 3 to 5 business days, depending on scope.

How are estimates delivered?

Estimates are delivered as organized Excel workbooks and PDF reports, broken down by trade and CSI division for easy review.

Are project files kept confidential?

Yes. Every plan set and project file is handled under strict confidentiality, and we’re glad to sign an NDA before you share drawings.
