Can I request an estimate for one trade only?
Yes. You can submit a single trade package or request coordinated estimating support across several trades. The quotation will identify the trades included, the documents reviewed and the deliverables prepared for each scope.
What documents should I submit?
Send the latest drawings available, together with specifications, schedules, addenda, bid forms, scope letters and any alternates or allowances that must be considered. Include the project location, intended use of the estimate and required completion date. We will identify any additional information needed before confirming the work.
Can you prepare a quantity takeoff without cost pricing?
Yes. Projects can be quoted as quantity-takeoff-only assignments or as quantity and cost-estimating assignments. The selected service and final deliverables will be confirmed before estimating begins.
What will I receive with a trade estimate?
Depending on the agreed scope, the package may include Excel quantity sheets, PDF summaries, marked-up drawings, trade or area breakdowns, inclusions, exclusions and documented assumptions. Deliverables vary by trade, document quality and the service selected.
How can the estimate be organized?
Estimates can be organized by trade, system, area, floor, building, phase, bid package, pay item or another agreed reporting structure. When a client template or bid form is provided, we review it before confirming whether the estimate can be delivered in that format.
Do your estimates include material and labor pricing?
Material, labor and equipment pricing can be included when requested and supported by the agreed estimating scope. Pricing reflects the confirmed project location, pricing date and available market, historical, vendor or subcontractor information. Actual purchasing and subcontractor quotations may differ.
How do you handle incomplete or unclear drawings?
We review the available documents, identify material scope gaps and record assumptions, exclusions or allowances where appropriate. Questions that could materially affect the estimate are raised before or during the work. Concealed conditions, field verification and undocumented existing conditions remain the client’s responsibility unless expressly included.
Can you incorporate addenda, revisions or change documents?
Yes. Provide the revised documents and clearly identify the changes that must be incorporated. We will review their impact and confirm any additional fee or delivery adjustment before revising completed or in-progress work.
How long does a trade estimate take?
Delivery timing is confirmed after the documents and requested scope have been reviewed. It depends on the trade, project size, drawing completeness, number of alternates, required breakdowns and current estimating capacity. A confirmed timeline will be included in the quotation.
Do you guarantee that my bid will be successful or match the final construction cost?
No. An estimate supports bidding, budgeting and scope review, but it cannot guarantee a contract award or final construction cost. Market movement, procurement decisions, subcontractor quotations, site conditions, construction means and methods, schedule changes and contract requirements can affect the final result.
Does Vantage provide engineering, design or code-compliance certification?
No. Vantage provides quantity takeoff and cost-estimating support. We do not provide architectural or engineering design, delegated design, stamped calculations, code-compliance certification or authority approval unless a separate service is expressly delivered by an appropriately qualified professional.
Are submitted drawings and project files kept confidential?
Project documents are handled as confidential business information in accordance with the applicable privacy policy and agreed working procedures. If your project requires an NDA or additional document restrictions, submit those requirements for review before uploading restricted information.
What happens if my trade is not listed?
Send the project documents and a short description of the requested scope. We will review the requirements and confirm whether the work is within our estimating capability before you commit to the service.
